帕列赫 (Palekh) 是伊萬諾沃州 (Ivanovo Oblast) 的一個小鎮，自古以來以聖像畫的產地而聞名。1917年俄羅斯革命後，聖像畫創作遭到禁止，工匠們於 1923 年轉而開始在小盒子上描繪童話故事或歷史故事，製成商品販售，並傳承和維護漆畫傳統。帕列赫漆器的特徵以水彩為主（蛋彩或水粉顏料），背景通常是黑色，圖案上皆描有不同型態的金邊，構圖只描繪主要的人事物。
尺寸約 寬65 x 高46mm
這種微型畫代表現實生活、文學作品、童話故事、拜里納和歌曲中的人物。在黑色背景上用明亮的當地顏料繪製，具有精緻光滑的設計與豐富的金色陰影，以及通常完全覆蓋表面並有著精確輪廓的平面圖形。
呈現的字體也都具有某種詩意的吸引力，上面景觀和建築的裝飾性，及人物的拉長比例，都可以追溯至聖像繪畫的傳統。
